Play Cloths

Virginia based duo, Clipse who have achieved platinum success with their 2002 LP release "Lord Willin" and critical acclaim with their 2006 release "Hell Hath no Fury" are now taking their penchant for trendsetting from the mic booth to the boutique. This Holiday the sibling wordsmiths release their line of apparel Play Cloths to select retailers worldwide.

Harkening back to the childhood notion of having clothing designated for school and for play, the initial collection takes cues from nostalgic childhood imagery with bold colors and graphics while still giving a nod to the groups inventive vision interpolating themes from their music into the fashion.

The brothers Pusha-T and Malice helped to usher in the streetwear era as perennial poster-boys for the Japanese Brand "A Bathing Ape" and for the brand of their friend and constant collaborator Pharell Williams "Billionaire Boys Club". Their style of dress has spawned a legion of imitators spurring the brothers to create their own vision of streetwear. Says Pusha “It’s based around the idea of when clothes were collectibles,” he said. “It represents youth and influence.”

Clipse who are currently on a promotional tour touting their latest "Re-Up Gang" album release and upcoming full length album "'Till the casket drops", plan to take some time off of the road to showcase the collection in an undisclosed location during this August's fashion trade shows in Las Vegas.

They are now scheduling press and sales appointments for the Las Vegas showcase.
