Uneek Society

For a clothing company that hasn't been around for even a year, Uneek Society seems to be one of the big "its" lately. Making a good name for itself, the brand provides two important factors to its clients: Elitism and Basics. Exclusiveness is one aspect that pushes this brand to the top with only 5 prints of every shirt and hoodie (with exception to the special editions of one). Simplicity is the other ingredient which makes Uneek Society stand out. Using flock print designs, black or white shirts, and gold or silver foil, the simple manner of the clothing makes it interesting and entertaining.

Royce Jonathan handles everything from marketing to customer service to management and has made Uneek Society what it is. Owning your own line is an accomplishment within itself, but when you are successful at it, it makes it that much more important. The name alone stands out as something special. It is geared toward providing a sense of relationship within the brand. Once you have a Uneek Society original, you are part of their community which shows the brands dedication to their clients.

Kaws Blitz! Diamond Pendant

Those who have been following Kaws, would have guessed they were bound to make it onto a big name. Here you have it, Pharell is showing off his an original that was made for him, the Kaws Blitz! character has been turned into a pendant. Pharell commissioned the artist for several art peices, including this one. You'll have to keep looking for what Kaws will do next.

TISA x MCM New Era Caps

You've already seen pieces from the TISA collection, but here are some from the collab between TISA and MCM, a German brand. These caps bring back some MCM patterns from the 80's. Along with these caps, TISA will be releasing a full collection of clothing. Here are the New Era caps, which come in two colorways, and well keep you updated for the clothing once we hear something. This collection is very interesting, so keep an eye out for it.

Stussy and Andy Murphy came together on a series of tees. Murphy's strong graphic style shows through in the medium tees. You'll be seeing these tees in October.

Today was the opening of the Supreme online store and are already providing a nice size of their Fall '08 collection, which is more than was available in previous years. Supreme always releases some really good products, and they have yet to let us down. You should definitely go check it out.

A much anticipated line from Ralph Lauren, Ralph Lauren Rugby Collection, is available online for the first time. This line holds everything from Fleece Peacoats, to Chino Skull Pants, to Bonaparte Ties with all over Napoleon print with solitary tiny guillotine, to eight rugby shirts which are part of the interactive bureau. The site offers you the opportunity to mix and match the clothing to see if different combinations are right for you. This site also works with collabs including FEED Bag Initiative (benefits school lunch programs), and TOMS shoes (when you buy a pair, a child who needs it gets a pair of shoes for free).

As of yet, the "Make-your-own-rugby" feature isn't up yet, but should be in the coming weeks. This allows you to choose logos, thread colours, and monograms.

Royalty Streetwear

We recently came across Royalty Streetwear and we had to share it with you all.

A year ago, two guys partnered up to start a line of tees dedicated to designing for the subculture life that a lot of people live. Bringing strong influence from the hardcore music scene, Royalty Streetwear designs for the 'nobility of the streets', as you can certainly see in their clothing. Staying true to what they are and what they love, Royalty Streetwear is finding their own way to make it.

You should definitely keep an eye out for them. Their new site will be up soon, where you can order from, so we'll keep you posted.

Atmos x New Balance 576 "Hologram"

Atoms and New Balance have again teamed up on the 576 model which is celebrating 20 years out. This shoe is really unique as it comes with a black patent leather upper with a rainbow shine to it, a pink elephant on the heel, and an orange mid sole with a rainbow color inner sole. These are a nice addition to any collection.

Atmos will be releasing this sneaker on the 11th.

Black Lightning Late Summer 2008 Collection

The Kicks/Hi crew from Hawaii has released their late Summer '08 collection of Black Lighting, which is inspired by bmx. The line consists of New Era 5950 mesh caps and some strong tees.

BMW Art Car Exhibition “Transparent Speed”

As the Mori Arts Center Gallery plays host to the latest BMW Art Car Exhibition in Tokyo, architect Jun Aoki brings forth his own interpretations to create an installation titled “Transparent Speed”. Based on anb”idea to have cars floating high up in the sky”, Aoki wanted the designs to revolve around the understanding and experiencing of speed without the usual precursors such as movement and resistance. The ultimate goal was to convey these feelings of air moving within the gallery space. To achieve this effect, 10,000 transparent polycarbonate pipes filled the gallery as they were strung from different heights from the ceiling. Other effects included lighting to re-create a sense of speed alongside the feeling of wind resistance from the pipes. The BMW Art Car Exhibition itself has featured some of the world’s most well-known artists as they feature their creativity on BMWs as their canvas. The project has featured celebrity artists such as Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol and David Hockney.

New Proper New Era Caps

Proper has come out with a new series of New Era caps. Coming in a variety of colors,in classic canvas, the caps feature the Proper "P" logo on the front panels. The caps are now available.

Norse Project 5-Panel Caps

Copenhagen's Norse Projects have released their latest, 5-panel caps. There are three graphic influences in this release being the Bauhaus, traditional african prints, and wood camo. Each of the prints bring something new to the collection which is always nice.

Fragment Design x Kangol "Galaxy" Hats

Fragment Design has gotten together with Kangol to work yet on another model of the heritage hat brand. This time they chose the Galaxy hat and it comes in overall four colorways and the usual Kangol and Fragment logo embroidery, as well as Fragment logo embossed on the metal pin on the inside.

Expect a release soon in the Honeyee Store.

Krunk Presents Futura "Stategic Synchronicity"

Open for just four days, Futura's Strategic Synchronicity exhibition marks the artists first solo showing in Los Angeles. Presented by Krunk, it includes an entirely new body of work and showcases some innovative material uses (like aluminum canvas stretchers). From September 18 to the 21, fans and collectors alike will be able to check out the work, and some will be lucky enough to take it home. Location is, for now, top secret. But, one hint is that it will be in Downtown LA.

Nike Free Court Trail Mid And Low

You saw the first images of the new Nike Free Court Trail hybrid sneaker a couple of months ago. Now they have finally released in a mid and a low version. Both come in two colorways, feature a Court Force upper and the Nike Free sole.

September New Eras from Upper Playground
