Nike Sportswear - Dunk Destroyers Pack

Returning from Nike Sportswear is the Dunk Destroyer Pack, back for it's third round. This time, however, there will be matching apparel released along with the pack. There is no word yet on how many different Destroyer Dunk High's will be released, but there are supposed to be four colorways in this drop : black, green, red, and blue. The apparel in this release include a Varsity Jacket as well as a crewneck sweatshirt which both feature the Nike Destroyers embroidery. The jacket goes for $125, the Crewneck for $75, and the Dunks at $125. This pack is dropping this month at select Nike Sportswear Urban retailers.

Last night, KAWS held a private reception for his solo exhibition at the Gering & López Gallery in NYC. This exhibition featured some of the artist's most recent art work, including large scale painting in acrylic, sculptures, and his newest project (33 uniquely painted bronze scultures in real life size of KAWS' own severed head). This event played host to some A-list guests such as Pete Wentz, Haze, Dr. Romanelli, and Edison Chen.

FL has decided on releasing their own varsity jacket which combines elements that have become iconic symbols of Futura. In this jacket, we see the normal sleeves which are comprised of leather while wool is used on the front. Futura's tag and Pointman occupy the chest while the back contains further patches. Together, PHANTACi and Nike have designed a commemorative pack featuring both a leather jacket and an Air Max 1. "The Grand" is the name of this pack and as can be told, the inspiration came from grand pianos and includes hints of ivory keys linked to the use of black and the PHANTACi store color pink as well. The insole holds a piano key print. The leather jacket features Tech-Pack-esque innovation with waterproof zippers. These aren't available as of yet, but perhaps in the near future. APPLEBUM has been known for its "sneaker boxes" design focus but now has launched a line of cork wood-like apparel and accessories for its Fall/Winter '08 Collection. The APPLEBUM x New Era 59FIFTY fitted cap seen above is from this line. Other products in this collection include a belt, a backpack, and a down vest. The Boarder Control Boxset was created by Livestock, The Hundreds, and éS in an attempt for a fresh design. The Livestock and The Hundred's model's ideas were taken from something they know well, models they have already worked with, whereas Livestock went a different route and created a hiking-boot theme with a strong use of colors with ripstop straps and contrasting laces.The Hundreds kept things of a more simple variety by using old school skate materials like suedes and canvases with newer age materials like rip-stop nylon, ballistic nylon, and 3M. Since the jeans were sold out within a couple hours of the original release, the only place these can be gotten will be from the Yahoo Japan auctions or various other resellers. On top of a growing music career, Lupe Fiasco has decided to venture out and become part of next year's PRODUCT (RED) project with converse along side close friend Dr. Romanelli. This project is centered to bring awareness to and raise money for humanitarian efforts. An understated bit of flash is seen via an all-black patent leather Chuck Taylor. Gone is the usual rubber toecap as well as the typical heel patch, both replaced with the full patent leather deal. Keeping with the PRODUCT (RED) theme, hints of red can be seen on the trademark top eyelet and sole as well as on a strip across the side.

There is no word yet as to the release date, but is rumored that it will be next January.

Housed within the special pop-up style retailer are numerous collaboration items ranging from t-shirts to Medicom Toy Bearbricks and plush toys. Among the collaborators are Goodenough, CodeC, Evangelion and Medicom Toy. The store’s tenure is expected to run five months.

Attributing some of success from his completion of the School of Visual Arts in NYC, Rostarr is paving the roads of the future of art.

New from Zune Originals is the new series of artist driven editions of the MP3 player. Some of these artists include Matt W. Moore and Aya Kato. Together with Sam Flores and Kenzo Minami, they provide artistic "tattoos" for your Zune. You can pickup a new Zune from the online store and then choose your favourite design for the engraving. This is really an interesting concept and deserves a definite look.
